I think the best question Marc had asked Terry was about basically how she got into radio. I felt this was the best because it was exactly what people wanted to know. Terry Gross is amazing and people always wonder how to follow in successful people’s footsteps. It is also a really good question because of her answer. She got her foot in the door on this small feminist radio show by chance. I think it really shows people that as much as you are qualified, life is who you know, and a game of chance.
The best question Terry had asked Marc, in my opinion, was when she had asked him if he asked things to the people on his show that he does not ask his friends. This was very good in that Terry brought similar questions back to Marc. It was really nice to have both their answers side by side and you can compare these two successful people in how they go about things in different ways and how their work is different or similar to their everyday lives. It was also the best question because it brought up a good point. How can someone be on a more personal level with strangers they interview for work than the people they know and are close with in their lives. It was a part of an opener into a much larger conversation.
